How to Wear the Veorvo Pro Mini for Restless Legs

TLDR. Thread the strap through the device and close the velcro back on itself, then strap it below the knee on the outside of your calf. Hold the button for three seconds and pick a level. Lie still, it works on its own, and it switches itself off.

The full version is below, along with the questions people ask before their first night.

How to put on the strap, and how to shorten it if it is too long

Two short videos, under a minute for both. No sound needed.

Putting the strap on

Shortening the strap

Strap too long for your calf? The second video is the fix, and it takes one fold.

Your device ships with some charge in it. You can use it the night it arrives.

Setting it up, in four steps

1Attach the strap

Slide the strap through the slot on the device, then fold the velcro back on itself so it grips. Do the same on the other side.

Either side of the device can face your skin. There is no right way round, so you do not need to check in the dark.

Too much strap left over? Fold the excess back on itself and press it flat onto the velcro. Do it once and it keeps that length.

2Turn it on

Hold the button for three seconds. The display shows L1.

3Choose your level

Press the button once to move to the next setting. The order loops:

L1 → L2 → L3 → L4 → L5 → P1 → P2 → P3 → back to L1

L1 to L5Steady vibration, lightest to strongest
P1 to P3Pulsed patterns rather than a continuous hum

Most people settle on one or two settings they come back to. There is no level you are supposed to work up to, and a stronger setting is not a better one.

4Lie still and leave it alone

That is the whole point of the shape. Once it is strapped on you have nothing left to do, so you can lie down and stay down.

It runs for fifteen minutes and switches itself off. The timer starts once you stop changing levels, so find your setting before you settle.

To stop it earlier, hold the button for three seconds. To use it on another area afterwards, move it and start again.

Where to put it for restless legs

Below the knee, on the outside of the calf. That is the placement the Pro Mini was built around, and it is where you should start on your first night.

Strap it firmly enough that it does not travel when you move your leg, loosely enough that you are not aware of the strap itself.

Restless legs are not felt in the same place by everyone. Some people feel it in the calves, others in the thighs, the shins, or further up. If below the knee does nothing for you after a few nights, move it to where you actually feel it and try there. Nobody else can tell you where your own answer is.

When in the evening to switch it on

There are two ways people do this and neither is wrong.

As you get into bed, before anything has started. You are not reacting to anything, you are just going to sleep with it on.

When the feeling actually starts, which for a lot of people is within about ten minutes of lying down. You put it on then, and you stay in bed to do it.

Try both across your first week. The second one is the one that matters most, because it is the moment you would otherwise be getting up.

Strapped on, lying down, no getting up

Everything on this page takes about a minute to do, and then you are not doing anything at all. That is the entire design.

Ships as a pair, one for each leg

Do you wear one or two?

The Pro Mini is sold as a pair, so you have one for each leg. Plenty of people wear both at once. Others start with one, see how they get on, and add the second later.

There is no correct answer here. You have two, so try it either way on the first night and keep whichever you prefer.

The itch in the first few minutes

A mild itch when you first switch on is normal, and it usually settles as the session goes on. If it does not settle, or if it is uncomfortable rather than mildly odd, take the device off.

Questions people ask before the first night

The strap is too long for my leg. What do I do?

Fold the excess back on itself toward the device and press the fold flat onto the velcro. No tail, nothing hanging down your leg. Do it once and the strap keeps that length, so putting it back on later takes one hand and no adjusting. There is no need to cut it, and no tools are involved. Watch how to shorten the strap.

How do I know it is on tight enough?

Move your leg. The device should not slide. If it travels down your calf, the strap is too loose. If you are aware of the strap itself while lying still, it is too tight. Watch how to put the strap on.

Can I cut the strap to make it shorter?

You can, but there is no reason to. Cutting removes the velcro you fold back on itself, and you cannot undo it if you later want the extra length for a thigh or an arm. Folding gives you the same fit and keeps the strap usable everywhere else on the body.

Is it loud? Will it keep my partner awake?

It is very quiet. A low hum rather than a buzz, and under a duvet it is quieter still. There is nothing plugged into the wall beside the bed either, because it runs on its own battery, and it shuts itself off rather than running against your leg all night.

Does it work through pyjamas?

Yes. The vibration carries through normal sleepwear fabric, so you do not have to wear it against bare skin if you would rather not.

A duvet on top is a different question, and the honest answer is that it depends on the duvet. A light one makes very little difference to what you feel. A thick, heavy one dampens it.

Should I put it on before the feeling starts, or wait for it?

Both work and people do both. Putting it on as you get into bed means you are not reacting to anything. Waiting means you use it at the moment you would otherwise be getting up. Try each across your first week.

Which level should I start on?

Start low and move up one step at a time until you can clearly feel it without it being distracting. Most people settle on one or two settings and stay there. A stronger setting is not a better one.

What if the feeling moves to the other leg?

You have two devices, so put one on each leg. That is part of why it ships as a pair.

Can I fall asleep with it on?

Yes. It ends the session on its own, so there is nothing you need to remember to do.

Can I use it on a plane or in the car?

Yes. It is cordless, it straps on under clothing, and nobody sitting next to you will hear it.

How long does the battery last through the night?

Up to four hours of running time, which is around sixteen sessions. Since the device stops on its own after each one, a single charge covers a lot more than one night.

Do I have to hold it?

No. It straps on and stays where you put it, which is the whole reason it exists in this shape rather than as something you hold against your leg.

Which way round does it go?

Either side can face your skin.

Can I use it somewhere other than my leg?

Yes, on one area at a time, apart from the places listed above. Move it and start again.
